Enderun Extension offers a three-day Avanced Food Styling & Photography workshop designed for people who want to learn the art of Professional Food Styling in connection with Food Photography for media. In this course, students will be exposed to the business of commercial food photography, exploring current trends in both editorial and advertising media. Experience three studio days, with a professional camera and lighting set-up. Each team will prepare food for their assignment, with photographer/stylist coaching them on plating and composition and working with them on the finer details of how the camera sees their food. Lighting, camera angle, and other photography nuances will be explored and explained. Each student will take home a disc with a high-resolution image they helped create.

THE EXPERTS
Nancy Reyes-Lumen is a well-renowned food writer, critic, and television/radio show host. She is a regular resource speaker on Filipino cuisine. Nancy is editor-in-chief of COOK magazine, and editor of other print publications. She sees a huge potential in various media resources in promoting the native Filipino cuisine, making her an ambassador in spreading food literacy throughout the Philippine archipelago. Furthermore, Nancy co-authored the award-winning “The Adobo Book.” She has been a freelance stylist for many cookbooks and a consultant for selected commercial multimedia needs since 1983. At Enderun, Nancy shares her expertise in Professional Food Styling from years of experience on-cam and behind the scenes.
Mike Cheung has spent the past 16 years capturing images for advertising and commercial assignments. He specializes in food, fashion and product photography. He treats all his subjects with equal passion and attention to detail, saying that a food shot can convey as much emotion as a moving model. He regularly works with many top brands such as Nestlé Philippines, RFM Food Corporation, and San Miguel Pure Foods. He also put up the Northlight Studio, Inc., a Manila-based photography studio specializing in advertising and commercial photography. One of the first in Manila to adopt a completely digital workflow, it is equipped with Hasselblad and Sinar cameras, Sinar digital backs, and Broncolor lighting system.
